You are very winning.

SPEAKER_13

All right, welcome in to Songs of FM Podcast, All Ones this time, season one, episode 11. We've got uh uh 11 of these uh are going to be in the bag after tonight. Uh and we hope you guys have been listening andor watching on uh YouTube, on uh what is it, James? Apple Podcasts. Apple Podcasts, uh Spotify, Amazon Podcasts. There's uh there's like 15 or 20 of them that we're on, so you can check us out. We do uh our soldiers on Facebook and on Instagram and on TikTok. So you can check us out on each one of those. Well, uh, right now we're gonna go with what we always go with to start out the show. Uh we're gonna write some wrongs with Ryan, but it there's a little twist to this one, right, Ryan?

SPEAKER_11

That's what I hear. There we go, Chris. Before we get started, Songs of FM will like to acknowledge something offensive that was accidentally left on the last episode. When I saw it, I was disappointed. I immediately thought of our viewers and how they would react when they see it. I'm here on behalf behalf, behalf, is that a word?

SPEAKER_12

Behalf, yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Behalf behalf of the viewers to demand an apology from our guest, Jamie Johnson, and his hat selection. We won't even say what was on it, we'll acknowledge it. And as Ren says, we'll do better.

SPEAKER_13

Uh Chris might have something to do with that, you know, something to say about that.

SPEAKER_11

Uh, he doesn't get to say anything about it. Chris offends. Jamie's introduction. He said he started in radio. Did you have something, Ren? Nope. Okay. Jamie's introduction. He said he started in radio in 1997. Ryan said James was three. I was really concerned about him being under three. So the dates, you know, Jamie's being December and James' birthday being August. So he's really two and a half.

SPEAKER_13

Okay.

SPEAKER_11

So I did some fact checking. Uh Jamie started radio February 7th, 1997. James was born October 16th, 1994. And that was a complete guess by me, and I freaking nailed it. What day, what what day did you say? October 16th, 1994.

SPEAKER_08

Okay. You said August earlier, and I was I was about to go into breaking news about Rodney Ryan's wrongs.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. Segment two. James claimed he was driving a six-liter 4.3 Vortex V6. You got anything to say about that? I didn't say six liter. I didn't say two liter.

SPEAKER_04

I think you did. Did I really?

SPEAKER_11

I knew it was a 4.3 liter.

SPEAKER_04

We're on video, man.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It's all recorded.

SPEAKER_11

It's a 4.3 liter. That's what the 4.3 stands for. James also claims Green Day named an album after something that they had seen in a British National Museum. The story was a soldier was shot, but the bullet was stopped by a Bible. James, you got anything to say about this? I feel like I'm right. Her research shows that this is true. So James, looks like you were wrong about Ryan riding you.

SPEAKER_13

Oh, wait, hold on, hold on. So he proclaimed he proclaimed that you would be riding his wrong there.

SPEAKER_11

This just didn't looks like James said World War II Museum. It was actually World War I, so you were wrong about something. Segment three, Vince Gill versus Colin Ray.

SPEAKER_13

So facts aren't very optional, James. You keep that in mind.

SPEAKER_11

Brian told a story about a co-worker named Colin Ray. Remember that? Uh yeah. Got it confused and I said, Oh, but his name is Colin Ray. It's actually his middle name is not Ray. Not at all. I confirmed that this week. Uh his first name is Colin, and he was named after the famous singer uh who no longer exists, thanks to being matched up against one of the greatest voices in country music.

SPEAKER_12

Okay. So what was his name then?

SPEAKER_11

Uh I don't remember.

SPEAKER_12

Like you argue, were you like way off?

SPEAKER_11

So it's like no, it's like yeah, I mean it was like Colin Douglas or something like that, not even close. But the other guy's name is Ray. So it was Colin Ray. They said Colin Ray when they were talking about the two individuals. I put it together, and then he said, Oh, it's funny, it's who I'm named after. That's the real story, not as good as what I said last episode. Okay. Correction on the score songs of FM Arena Rock Elite Eight. Aerosmith defeated Def Leopard six to zero. I actually voted for Def Leopard just so it wasn't shed out. And I even said that. And then I watched Ren click it and I didn't say anything. So the score was actually Aerosmith 5, Def Leopard 1 to match the number of arms the drummer has, James. And now for our special, I guess do we have a guest, Ren, or do we just have uh I guess we do have a special guest and Ryan's wrongs instead of Ryan? It's gonna be uh Ren's wrongs now. So I'm gonna turn it over to Ren.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Yeah. No, Randy's at the house, he's gonna have to sit this episode out. But it has everything to do with Randy, and it must have been a butterfly effect going on here because mine is related to the Vince Gill Colin Ray matchup. During last episode of Pick One to Save, Randy announced the matchup Vince Gill versus Colin Ray, which was incorrect. Okay, so you see, Randy can't read, okay? He can't read very good.

SPEAKER_11

I was gonna say, in Randy's defense defense, he even said, I'm reading the best I can.

SPEAKER_04

Well, well, that was a lie. He's looking the best he can, especially when he's nervous, he can't read very good. Uh, but he's always been really good at putting a name with a face. And so I actually made pictures.

SPEAKER_13

Oh, so he was going off of pictures.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Okay. And so here was matchup one.

SPEAKER_13

Okay. All right. So who is that? That's that's Steve Warner and Vince Gill.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_13

So what that would be. That would have changed it. Oh my god. That would have been Sophie's choice for me.

SPEAKER_11

Oh man. I don't think it would have changed it for me. I probably still would have gone Vince Gill, but I know Russ is a big C.

SPEAKER_13

Steve Warner's my favorite country artist of all time.

SPEAKER_11

And then I don't know how Jamie would feel about that either. I could see Jamie being a little conflicted. Anyone else?

SPEAKER_04

Another fire effect? Something about Colin Ray. You work with Colin Ray or something. That's true. True.

SPEAKER_11

I would have wouldn't even say that. Because I don't work with Steve Warner. Yeah, I would have kept my mouth shut.

SPEAKER_13

Hey, Chris did work with a guy named Steve, so a couple actually. So how about that matchup, huh? I'm not even going to go there.

SPEAKER_11

We have to go there. We have to go there? Or do we save and go there later? Because Vince Gill still still exists.

SPEAKER_04

Well, we'll go there later. But but apparently he doesn't see very well either. So I tried to put something together that maybe he thought he was looking at.

SPEAKER_13

Oh, so that's that's that's the former coach. That's what when everybody said looked like Vince Gill. Coached uh what it was Mississippi State, and he was coaching Kentucky for a while. Yeah, who is that?

SPEAKER_11

He coached Kentucky?

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, yeah. He was uh under How Mummy.

SPEAKER_04

So that is Colin Ray, but who's the other guy? That's Vince Gill, right? No, no, that's the football coach.

SPEAKER_13

And when he was at Kentucky, I remember the talking.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, Mike Leach. Mike Clech, that's Mike Leach, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, everybody did say that. Mike Leach versus Colin Ray. Who you say?

SPEAKER_11

I'm gonna say Mike Leach. He made me laugh a lot. Yeah, Mike Leach. Bring him back, please. I like it. He was offense coordinator when we had the air raid.

SPEAKER_13

Yep.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_13

So I like I would have probably picked Mike Leach, to be honest with you, because I like what he said about Candy.

SPEAKER_11

Colin Ray fan. One or two good songs.

SPEAKER_13

Any more of Randy's wrongs, uh, Ren?

SPEAKER_04

That was the one big one, so we had to correct that for the record.

SPEAKER_13

So many R's going on there. Ryan's wrongs, and then it went to Ren writing Randy's wrongs. That's a mouthful. Okay, well, so uh is all that done, Ryan? You done with your wrongs and Randy's wrongs and Ren's wrongs? Okay. So we're gonna move on to segment number one. Oh, that's right. You know, I keep forgetting the ads because I'm so pissed off about it that I haven't received a royalty check one. Okay, so who's the next who's the next sponsor?

SPEAKER_04

Uh this episode is brought to you by Sony Walkman Portable CD player for those who demand music one album at a time, featuring advanced anti-skip technology capable of withstanding up to three seconds of normal walking. Jogging not recommended. Enjoy your favorite songs exactly as the artist intended. In order.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

So he got some ginkkos. Okay. You know, it it would even play burned CDs, which means a CD we made ourselves. Yeah, yeah. It's burned CDs, yeah, as in we made ourselves, not an attempt to destroy it like James would with a Motley Crue CD. And you didn't burn it. A burnt CD was our own mix of songs with a label favorite mix final V2 Heart Shape written in permanent marker. Enough about that. Sony Walkman Portable CD player, because skipping songs used to mean something else. Oh, wonderful.

SPEAKER_11

So did anybody have one in their car?

SPEAKER_13

Uh well, I had the I I you know, I didn't have the Sony brand. I had uh an off brand. Do you remember the brand COSS? K-O-S-S. I do. I had a COSS.

SPEAKER_11

Did it have like a big K and the S loop back under it? I don't really remember. I just remember that up.

SPEAKER_13

But it uh uh it was like the Sony Walkman. It was a standalone CD player with you use headphones on, but you also had the cassette adapter that you could plug into and pop in the cassette player, and that's what I had. And it came with a shock mount platform that had was spring loaded. So as you were riding along in your car with your cough sitting there beside of you, and it would vibrate and skip anyways.

SPEAKER_11

It did not have that logo, but I had one too, and now they bring up the pictures.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, well, I didn't have that problem. I had an Iowa.

SPEAKER_11

Iowa, that was a good brand.

SPEAKER_10

You could flip up there and everything, no skip.

SPEAKER_08

Are we saying states now, or what's what's happening?

SPEAKER_13

I I I A W A, Iowa. That was the brand. Not Io W A.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay. I'll I'll I'll I'll believe you.

SPEAKER_13

So what what kind what kind of uh what kind of Sony Walkman did you have, James? Cd player?

SPEAKER_08

Well Ryan asked if he had one for the car, or if you had one for the car, was that a carman? Uh no, no, that was a bad joke. So if I drove a truck, it'd be a truckman. That's right. Uh what was my first music device? Uh players. I never know I didn't get it. I never had an iPod. Team Zoom. I did have a Zoom. But what was the uh one they advertised? It was like 30 seconds of like radio hits and just like a little small cartridge you'd put in.

SPEAKER_10

B clips.

SPEAKER_08

It was a 90s thing. It was like hit clips, that's it.

SPEAKER_10

Hit clips, yeah. Hit clips.

SPEAKER_08

That's what it was. We had one of those. Those were cool. I had the my sister had Avra Levine on it.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, the hit clips didn't really catch on. I I remember them, but I've never had them. Okay, well, now that now that we've gotten paid, uh we'll jump on to segment number one, and we have titled this one Drumming Legends: Technicians versus Architects. So uh me not being a drummer, the only one on the panel, not a drummer. Um technician versus architect was kindly close to me when I did my investigating on it. But uh Kratz here, we're not crowning the best number one drummer here. We're not we're not saying the best drummer in the world because music isn't a hundred-meter dash. It's not always about who plays the fastest paradiddle. Uh tonight we're looking at drummers through two different lenses. So, what I want everyone to do is uh is to name a technician drummer and an architect drummer. So uh of the four drummers, I think I'm going to pick Chris first. Chris, who are your who are your uh technician? What is your technician? We'll start with technicians first. Well, I guess you give them both the same time. So give me your technician drummer and then your architect drummer.

SPEAKER_10

Well, I I look at a technician as technical. So there's a few comes in mind for that. Um I'll go with Mike Partinoy for that for technical. Okay. Um as far as architect, I would probably go with uh Neil Peary.

SPEAKER_13

You know, when I was looking at my stuff and deciding who I was gonna pick, Neil, and again, I'm not a drummer. Neil would have been in the technician category. To me, I could be completely wrong.

SPEAKER_10

But for me, he can go both ways. I mean, it's kind of it's kind of kind of like uh Danny Carey go both ways.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, I think Danny Carey fits kind of more in an architect type than but that's again. I don't know.

SPEAKER_11

I I view Danny Carey as more of a technician.

SPEAKER_13

He is, but when I Googled it, he ended up being an architect. Yeah. And so okay, so you got um you must read that, Russ.

SPEAKER_11

He was an arch he's got an architectural degree. Oh, okay. Oh, that makes sense.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, you've been hanging around Randy.

SPEAKER_13

So you went with uh uh Neil Purt and Mike Portnoy. Well, something I uh just it just crossed my mind. I should have probably gone first because I am the non-drummer of the bunch. But we got Chris's two now, so I'm gonna go now. Go. So my technician, I chose Steve Gadd. Yeah, I love Steve Gadd's stuff. You know, my in my experience of watching Steve Gadd, do you remember the One More Car, One More Rider album that uh Eric Clafton released, the live album? I had the DVD. Steve Gadd was playing the drums for him then, and I really uh really enjoyed that stuff. He is from Urand C Urandakoit, New York, if you can say that. It's I R O N D-E-Q-U-I-O-T. Uh O-I-T, I'm sorry. So Urandakoit, New York. Uh, he was born on April 9th, 1945. He is a member of the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame, 1984. He has played with Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Van McCoy, Simon Agarfungle, James Taylor, Chick Corea, uh, Chuck Manjone, Randy Crawford, Eric Clapton, Mike Petrucciani, uh, Paul McCartney, and David Gilmore. So he is my technician drummer.

SPEAKER_10

So Dr. Steve Gadd. Dr. Steve Gabb.

SPEAKER_13

So when I looked up what I thought would be an architect, it was somebody that might have created a specific sound or somebody that uh was an architect in his drumming, I guess would be the best way to explain it. And for that I chose 75-year-old Phil Collins because I really enjoyed his his drumming with Genesis. Uh, but he also was the archetype for you know the famous uh drum fill in in the air tonight. So he is he is my pick for that. He was born January 30th, 1951, in London, England. He played for Brand X, uh Flaming Youth, and then Genesis. He joined Genesis in 1970, uh, joining Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford. Uh, fun little note right before he joined Genesis, he was he also played congas on George Harrison's uh song Art of Dying uh album uh song. Uh he became the vocalist for Genesis in 1975, and uh then he went on a solo career in 1981 with the album Face Value, which features In the Air Tonight. Um, so he is my architect drummer. All right, so now let's uh let's go with you, Ryan.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, my technician, and and I feel like he could go either way, and Rin might even argue that he does go the other way, is uh Carter Beauford with Dave Matthews band. Um he introduced me to open hand style, which apparently existed way before him, and that's why I have such a hard time playing Journey because that's how their drummer plays.

SPEAKER_13

Steve Smith.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I can't I can't do the hi-hat and all the Tom and Cymbal stuff same time. Uh and he also introduced me to my love for her tas in the 60s no triplets. I see that's language that I don't get uh and something I didn't know about him is he also uh worked with Vertical Rising, Carlos Santana, uh John Popper, the blues travelers. Tim Reynolds, I I assume I don't know if that's because he did something separate with him, or if that's when Tim Reynolds did some stuff with Dave Matthews, uh and uh Victor Wooten.

SPEAKER_13

That makes a lot of sense, him playing with Victor Wooten.

SPEAKER_11

It does. So he also did something, and I should have looked it up, but I didn't, with my uh architect drummer, uh Mr. Will Farrell.

SPEAKER_13

Chad Smith. Okay.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, it's Chad Smith. Uh I don't know. I think Yeah. They they do look a little bit alike. I feel like uh if if you somebody asked me the style that I play, and I'm not saying I'm nearly as good. I feel like I'm more of a Chad Smith style drummer. And I think if you watch the 30 Seconds to Mars Drumeo, uh you can get uh an idea of how good a feel he has because he played the song almost dead on, yeah, without ever hearing the song. So that that's my uh take on the the technician and the architect. Carter Bofer is the technician and Chad Smith as the architect.

SPEAKER_13

Now that Chad Smith uh dromeo video, was that the same video that he done where he where he talked about playing that song with Duo Lipa?

SPEAKER_11

It was I don't know if it was the same uh same day that they filmed it all, but it's it's in a separate video.

SPEAKER_13

Okay, well, because I thought that was really cool that you know he's known for playing with the chili peppers, playing rock, and but he's such a good drummer, he can just jump right in and and play the you know on Duo Lipa's album, too. All right, James, uh your technician and your architect.

SPEAKER_08

For my technician, uh I'm about to give the most Jeremy Barrett responses ever. So be ready. Uh for my technician, I'm gonna go with Todd Suckerman, the drummer of sticks. Uh he is just he's insane. He uh he was with Pearl there for a while, but now he's back with he's with Sonar because that's what his dad played. Uh and he is just the way he uses his drum set tonally is insane to me. But also, I'm we also look at drummers that play a traditional grip as definitely something more technical. But that's honestly just like stepping away from that. That's honestly just what's comfortable to him. And I've tried to play traditional, it's hard.

SPEAKER_04

Well, he's got the best groove with a traditional grip I've ever heard as far as songs.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I his drumming speaks for himself as far as his technical abilities. Um for the architect, uh, I got a little bit of facts with him. He has over 1,300 gold, platinum, or diamond records. Has played with bands such as uh Rolling Stones, Bruno Mars, Smashing Pumpkins, Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, Dave Grohl, BB King, John Legend, and many, many, many more. And that's Kenny Arnoff. Oh.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah. One of them, yes. One of them is Barrett's favorite drummer, one of them is Jeremy Barrett in disguise. They look alike and they play alike. So all right. Uh Ren, you want to wrap this one up for us?

SPEAKER_04

Well, I knew this pick of technical technician would be at risk of already being taken by Ryan because we love the same dude, Carter Beauford. Now, technician, Scott Chops, and you've already mentioned the uh open hand, but if you listen to all of his stuff, he doesn't play regular quarters or eighth notes on the hi hat. It's very syncopated. Depending on which act you're with, that could be a good or bad habit, but that's nothing I picked up, so I it just I drives me nuts to just play straight eights when I'm playing. I just gotta sync it up. So I really appreciate what the he brought to the drone world as far as hi-hat technique.

SPEAKER_11

And then with this open-handed playing in his hi hat, and he's got his ride right there. He he does a little bit of it's freaking his I wish I would have done it.

SPEAKER_13

His foot always impressed me because of those syncopated beats and all that stuff. But it's it the the foot is right in there. Sometimes it's really fast, but yeah, his foot always stood out to me.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, he's got a jazz fusion background and he brings it to his to the rock situation or jam band, some people like to say. But it's amazing how many times he's left off of these lists of like top drummers. Yeah. It's like he's just in that gray area of he's not it's not in pop culture, but if you're a drummer and and you pay attention to drummers, he's gonna be in your top list. And when you think about an architect drummer, to me, you gotta think about someone who not only maybe architect something or created something that it's a signature feel or signature drum, but also their focus is groove and soul and the foundation, architect, foundation. And my pick is Charlie Watts for that. Oh, did not expect that. I did not expect kudos. He's not gonna drum you out of a room, but what he did for the Rolling Stones is the signature feel and signature drum sound you hear on everything they do. Yeah, and one little thing that you'll notice about him, again, hi-hat. I guess I'm a fan of hi-hats. He uh, whether it's by choice or just the way he felt comfortable playing, but he when he hits his snare, his two and four, he lifts his hi hat. He never plays the hi hat with with the snare hit. So it's like when you watch him live, go or when you watch a video of his performances in the past, pay attention to his right hand, it comes up on every snare beat. Okay, so he because he pulls it away from the hat then.

unknown

Like that.

SPEAKER_13

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

That's pretty cool. And and when you kind of the other thought experiment we're could have if you wanted was if you swap those drummers, yeah, that ain't happening.

SPEAKER_12

I mean that's a oh yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Uh even even Carter Beaufort and Roland Stones, I'm sure you could pull it off, but you're t you're changing the whole sound of that again.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Charlie Watts and Dave Matthews, good luck.

SPEAKER_13

I mean, you might be able to play uh Dave Matthews solo album stuff, but you know, I think if you you're going that way with my two that I picked, you you may not be missing a whole lot, you know, if you uh uh if you had Phil Calls because he was he's a very technical drummer also, you know, playing in Genesis, then being a progressive band like that. He had done a lot of off time stuff. So that might have been an easy switcheroo there.

SPEAKER_11

I don't know. I feel like switching my two would be be kind of difficult with Carter Boefer going to the red hot chili peppers and Chad Smith going to Dave Maskews. I mean, it they could pull it off, definitely, but it would definitely change the sound of both groups.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I think we need to give an honorable mention because honestly, I'm shocked none of us chose this.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, is this me? This is you want me to say something about myself? I didn't expect this.

SPEAKER_08

This drummer falls under both categories, if you ask me. A technician and an architect. And funny enough, since I've joined the Suns, formerly Sons of FM, uh, every time that we mention a drum beat, we're like, well, who played drums on that? And we looked it up, and it was always anytime we had a compliment about the drum beat, we would look up who played drums, and it was always this drummer, Jeff Picaro.

SPEAKER_13

Oh wow, yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_04

I can't believe the hybrid ones that have technique and can be an architect. Another good one is Steve, uh uh Steve Jordan and Nate Smith.

SPEAKER_13

Yes, yes, but uh Nate Smith, his stuff he does with uh what is what is that band? Um shoot, we just watched the video. Yeah, the fearless flyers that are a uh they're an offshoot of of uh Wolfpeck. Wolfpeck, that's right. That's right. Yeah, I was gonna after after James finished what he was gonna say, I was gonna mention Steve Jordan because I really like him, and I also am a big fan of Dennis Chambers. I like his stuff too. So Steve Jordan with the Rolling Stones, yeah, you're right. Yes, yeah, and he played with the Who too, didn't he? Pretty sure he did. What was you gonna say, James?

SPEAKER_08

Without, I mean, honestly, without those three drummers, Jordan Chambers and uh Steve, I mean Jeff Picaro, I feel like we might not have had as great as music as what we had.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah. I think did did basically when I'm I don't know about Steve Jordan, but I know Dennis Chambers and Picaro both play with Steely Dan.

SPEAKER_08

Yep.

SPEAKER_13

So okay, well, I guess that'll uh that'll wrap up uh segment number one. Our uh architect and our technical drummer choices for each, and uh, you know, there could have been many more on those lists, but we settled to pick one each under each category there. So uh Ryan, we're gonna jump on to segment number two. What do you got for us there?

SPEAKER_11

Ren, quick question. Have you ever been to a drum clinic? You know, I haven't. Me neither. I was hoping you said you had, so I could say, was there a charge or are they usually free?

SPEAKER_04

They're usually too far away for me to go drive two hours to the Lexton Drum Center to catch one on a Sunday afternoon.

SPEAKER_11

Well, for all those other viewers that they're too far away, luckily for you today, you're in for a special treat because you get a free front row seat to the Songs of FM drum clinic.

SPEAKER_07

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, you don't see any drum kits? Uh that's because we're back in the air instruments.

SPEAKER_13

Okay. All right.

SPEAKER_11

And I'm again explaining my oh, go ahead.

SPEAKER_13

Again, I'm the only non-drummer on the panel.

SPEAKER_11

So but I feel like you have no pressure though. Like I've thought about this all day. I never get worried about things, and I've been sweating. I've been sitting here thinking the whole last segment. I've been practicing it in my head. This is really messing with me.

SPEAKER_13

Well, I'm gonna take a page out of James' book and I'll explain that when I do it.

SPEAKER_11

So we're gonna take turns playing an iconic part of one of our favorite drum. I don't know, it's not a riff, what would you call it? It's not really a drum lick. Drum part. That's what we call it. I'd like to note this is a performance, not a challenge. We'll all be yelling answers, but don't let that distract you from finishing the performance you've prepared your lifetime for. I'd also like to acknowledge that I did notice the small text written included in the run of show that said K13 doesn't matter. What it does, but the points will not in this challenge.

SPEAKER_08

Off top, totally off top. I'm glad you said something.

SPEAKER_11

It's like a oh, I absolutely was gonna say something. Okay, and I guess well, so Eric, the the air guitar episode. Uh, I thought there was a lot of pressure on whoever went first and Russ, but I kind of feel bad because he's pointed out he's the the only non-green.

SPEAKER_13

I'm I'm ready. I'm I'm not saying I'm not ready.

SPEAKER_11

Well, let's say it then.

SPEAKER_13

And then my my my my uh saying I took a page out of James's book. Um I really got to experience this song with Guitar Hero, even though this is a drum part of it.

SPEAKER_02

So I know what it is. Are we landing somewhere? Where are we landing at? That's not four or four, is it? Anybody damn I'm getting tired.

SPEAKER_10

Why was I?

SPEAKER_11

We were just listening. I was waiting. I really wanted to see if you got this next part or not.

SPEAKER_08

He forgot a he forgot a feel, but it's okay. Uh thank you.

SPEAKER_11

Thank you for your taking.

SPEAKER_08

That's YYZ my rush. I mean, that was great.

SPEAKER_13

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm no Neil and I'm no Neil Purt. I'm uh yeah, so wait, do you mind saying that? Yeah, Chris.

SPEAKER_11

A little off, but you were right on on the part, right? I think you got the the park for the most part.

SPEAKER_13

YYZ, as they would say. Yz.

SPEAKER_08

I I looked at all of our faces, and once we heard you do the ride symbol, we all yeah.

SPEAKER_13

I mean, it's a dead giveaway to anybody who knows drum.

SPEAKER_11

Nobody wanted to say it first. We didn't want to ruin it that quick, right? That's right. All right, Chris, now it's time to redeem yourself from the the guitar challenge. So that we won't speak of tempo.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, so I I I'm so I'm just gonna say this. I am going to be different as always. Um this is not um anybody's favorite, but it is slightly iconic for a certain reason.

SPEAKER_08

I already know it.

SPEAKER_10

So I I got a tune real quick.

SPEAKER_08

I already know it.

SPEAKER_10

I gotta tune real quick. Hang on. I'm gonna take Chris.

SPEAKER_08

Don't look at the group chat. I'm gonna send my prediction to the group chat. Chris cannot look.

SPEAKER_10

All right.

SPEAKER_11

Um take a quick clip. Rest quick, put a plastic bag over his head so he can't see.

SPEAKER_10

I don't have it open anywhere.

SPEAKER_11

I mean, see.

SPEAKER_10

I'm not looking at my watch.

SPEAKER_11

I'm looking, I'm looking, I got James's message. All right. I don't think that's it, James, by the way.

SPEAKER_08

Really?

SPEAKER_04

The way he was alluding to it made me think it was. I gave a 26% chance.

SPEAKER_10

All right, Chris. We will see. Hold on, I got a tune. That ain't gonna work. So, hold on.

SPEAKER_08

It's increased to 56%.

SPEAKER_09

Twink, twink, twink, twink, toing, twink, twink, twink, twink, twink, twink, twink, twink, toink, twink, twink, twink, twink, twink, twink, toink, twink, twink, twink, twink, twink. Is that playing anger album?

SPEAKER_11

You got the most kind of a single song off of it.

SPEAKER_08

I just spit on the baby.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, you need to wrap the movie on your camera. James, you need to you need to apologize to the viewers.

SPEAKER_13

What's going on with James?

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_13

Uh James' prediction uh, by the way, Chris was won by Metallica, so he got the band right.

SPEAKER_11

When he changed snares, it's when James said uh his face got next like 56%. I knew where it was going. I just don't know anything about numbers.

SPEAKER_10

Well, that's the that's that's my anger. Okay, you got it.

SPEAKER_08

That was hilarious. I was I knew it was Lars. Then he pulled out the snare and I was like, that wasn't a snare, it was a garbage can.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

I really thought, okay, do you did you all tell him my prediction?

SPEAKER_10

I did. We did. Okay. So they got the band.

SPEAKER_08

I was like, if he gets it this fast, I'll be shocked.

SPEAKER_10

That actually would have been a whole lot easier.

SPEAKER_11

All right, James, you're up. I don't see any drums.

SPEAKER_13

Oh, okay. He's got props.

SPEAKER_11

You know what? So he's got sticks. I thought about, but I didn't have enough time.

SPEAKER_10

I thought about too.

SPEAKER_11

They were my tracks.

SPEAKER_10

Yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Trying to find a pair of those.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, air drum.

SPEAKER_11

Go ahead.

SPEAKER_07

That's this way.

SPEAKER_08

Is that it? Is that it? Is that all you're giving with it?

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, and you were specifically doing the Aerosmith run D. Runde. Walk this way part. I was waiting for the course.

SPEAKER_11

I didn't know the drummer played the turntables.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, because you went.

SPEAKER_11

Small band. Yeah. There we go. There is a sizzle.

SPEAKER_10

There is a hi-hat sizzle there anyway. I was waiting for the course. I want to see if he could do the uh six tuple on the ride.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. All right, Ryan. Rin.

SPEAKER_13

That's rush. Spirit of the radio, rush. That was a good one. It was a good one. That was a good one. I was like, I want to compliment that Tom tone. Yeah, right. Yeah, he had a really good Tom tone on that one.

SPEAKER_11

I think the s yeah, I got him. It was so good. Oh, he's about to that AP was like, hey we're turning this off.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_04

Not that song. I've played it live. The most critical part of that song is not only the lick, but you gotta sync that up with the bass player. Yeah.

SPEAKER_13

And you it was the bass play Jason, Jason Lane.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_13

Uh yeah. You can check out our performance of that. We had a very short-lived little little project that we called Uptown, and there's one video on YouTube that exists of us playing, and we play that as our finisher.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, that's an out-of-body experience to get to do that in a live situation for real real life.

SPEAKER_13

I I was like, it was it was karaoke for me. I mean, it really was because they played it so well. I mean, that's one of my I've told Ryan Ryan McCoy.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, and uh Dave Crider was on the keys. Uh, and I've told I've told Ryan this, I've told anybody that I care to talk to about it. That is one of my proudest moments playing music in my my life is playing that song. You know, we done that. And that was a really fun little uh project we had too. But yeah, that was a good one, Ryan. I guess that leaves you, Ryan.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, the moment I've not been waiting for. All right.

SPEAKER_13

My hero. Foo fatters.

SPEAKER_11

That's it. That's it.

SPEAKER_04

Well, you can keep going if you want.

SPEAKER_11

I'm done. That's it. I need somebody to save me. Resty was my hero.

SPEAKER_13

Okay, can you do uh monkey ranch by the foo fatters?

SPEAKER_11

I can't because I've not practiced it all day.

SPEAKER_13

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_11

I don't I don't think I realized how hard this was going to be for me. Like it was really a mental yes. I'm glad I I was really busy at work the last two days. Took my mind off of it a little bit.

SPEAKER_13

I had to be repeated. Nope. No, no, not a drummer.

SPEAKER_08

Uh but how good Ranny's tone was on his mouth directly.

SPEAKER_13

Oh, yeah. His tone, his toms were perfect.

SPEAKER_08

Can we do a request?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_13

Ran, can we do a request?

SPEAKER_11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know names of music, so you'll have to help. Hot for teacher Van Halen.

SPEAKER_11

Uh-huh. Well, that was gonna be mine, but then that was way too intimidating. It'll take two people.

SPEAKER_13

Fun fact about that, you may or may not know this, the beginning of that song. That was the that was the uh um exhaust from his Ferrari.

SPEAKER_06

I thought it was Harley. Nope. I thought it was a tractor.

SPEAKER_10

See, I was always totally it was it was two recordings.

SPEAKER_13

This comes straight. This comes straight from his brother's mouth. He wrote uh a memoir about well, his brother's a known liar. Yeah, so he was the one that played the drums. So yeah, it was his it was his Ferrari that he had.

SPEAKER_11

Serena, correct me if I'm wrong, but at the beginning of the song, isn't that some Hurtas?

SPEAKER_04

Some what?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, it's uh two sets of them. If you were to actually apply it.

SPEAKER_04

It's swing eights on the kick, and you're uh on the off meter on the only way you can do it live is do uh swing eights on the kick, and then on the floor tom you're fighting against it with a different pattern. It's like you got you got it keep going. I was coming out on the bizarre.

SPEAKER_11

We're not worthy, we're not worthy. That's the whole reason he wanted to do this, was just so he could show off how good he was at it.

SPEAKER_13

He is supreme driving but you should be doing clinics, right? Right.

SPEAKER_11

I'd have to not with a real kit.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, exactly. I mean, I just like to do I mean that's one of the training or teaching methods for yourself is to if you if you can't sing it or hum it, you can't play it.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I can I just can't do it that well though.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean you got tons and everything right now.

SPEAKER_11

Can we can we get Randy to do one for us?

SPEAKER_04

No, I do like to do beatboxes too. I don't know how this well this will come through. Okay.

SPEAKER_08

If you have skipped ahead to the podcast and you're putting me up right now, call 911. About three three folks having a seizure.

SPEAKER_11

And if anybody's taking ecstasy and gets on the podcast, they're doing some of this.

SPEAKER_13

Okay, well, I guess that'll that'll trigger wrapping up segment number two. Uh now we're gonna move on, and it's time, ladies and gentlemen. It is time. Chris, can I have the music, please? And then I'll throw to Reynold. All right, Ren. It is time to find out the final four and the finals for the SOM SOFM Arena Rock Challenge. Ren.

SPEAKER_03

Am I back? Am I back?

SPEAKER_04

We've made it a final four. The journey was long. But here we go. We have Journey, Toto, in game one. We have Arrow Smith and Sticks in game two. Who will make it to the championship? Let's find out. I should probably share my screen.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, here we go.

SPEAKER_04

Let's see. Good. Yep. Alright, game one.

SPEAKER_13

Let's hear it. Well, because in two of our past segments, Journey has taken out Foreigner. Um, I'm voting Toto. Simply for that reason. But I do love Toto, so I'm gonna have to vote Toto against Journey. Big time upset, 13 over one.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

When I think of Arena Rock, I mean, I'm thinking of the whole crowd just singing. With Toto, I feel like you're more just sitting and enjoying Journey.

SPEAKER_13

They're gonna sing Africa Man. You know that.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, okay. Journey, you're gonna sing any way you want it. Don't stop believing.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, you can sing any way you want it with Toto, too.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, you know, now that's how you do it, James.

SPEAKER_11

Back to your car. I'm taking notes. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I'm taking notes. Yeah, I'm a young dad. I haven't got I haven't got it down yet.

SPEAKER_10

Okay, okay, gotcha.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, Chris or Ryan.

SPEAKER_10

I won't go with Journey.

SPEAKER_11

Hmm. Oh. All right. So um I discussed this with uh honorable R. Francis Dodo. And uh because of all the white girl dancing, I'm gonna go with Todo.

SPEAKER_13

Wow, wow, Reynolds, it's left up to you.

SPEAKER_08

I would hate to be dealt this decision, Reynold.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Ups, set alert, ups, set alert, ups, set alert.

SPEAKER_04

I gotta see Rosanna live.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, sir. I'm not mad.

SPEAKER_13

I'm not mad, sir, making it to the finals.

SPEAKER_11

I didn't I didn't even feel like that was a tough decision for her.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, making it to the finals.

SPEAKER_11

Now, I feel like if if we can take get Russ to remove Megan from this, there's a real chance Styx is gonna come through.

SPEAKER_13

Okay, so I would agree. Okay, as you're alluding to my lovely wife's favorite band of all time is Arrow Smith. My lovely wife's second favorite band of all time is Motley Crue. And but her third favorite band of all time is Styx. So you've got her first favorite and her third favorite going head to head here. She likes to do her renegade dance. They finally found me. And because of that, I get so much joy from her doing her renegade dance, I'm going sticks.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, that's sad.

SPEAKER_11

Is it a sweep?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know if I can let it be a sweep because I used to go in Walmart and Paintsville in the mid-90s. I used to enjoy playing a certain arcade game. Yeah. Yeah, I remember that.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah. Yeah. What was Revolution X? It was an Aerosmith-based video game. It's one of them shooting games that had a mounted gun. It was like Operation Wolf. You remember Operation Wolf?

SPEAKER_04

It was like the first one of those guns that shows walking through shooting stuff, and there's like dancers hanging from those dance cages. Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_11

I didn't know what you're talking about. James, do you remember arcades and Walmart?

SPEAKER_08

I remember Kmart. That should be enough for you.

SPEAKER_11

Did you know that that that existed at one time?

SPEAKER_13

And Food City. Yeah, all the good games were in the in the the interest to Food City. Wrestle Fest was a great one.

SPEAKER_08

True, yeah.

SPEAKER_13

So uh Ren went Harold Smith there, so it wasn't a clean sweep. Okay, here it goes. Chris, find that music back up one more time for the final. Are we doing the finals tonight? Finals, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

We are oh man.

SPEAKER_11

And for me, this one, I'll just go first because it's it doesn't matter. I'm not that uh not that big of a sticks fan to pick through over Toto. So I'm gonna go Toto.

SPEAKER_13

Okay. Chris James.

SPEAKER_08

I'm trying to find a coin.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, really.

SPEAKER_10

Toto.

SPEAKER_12

Oh. Um Toto.

SPEAKER_08

It's already decided. But I'm not letting it go down. I'm going sticks. Oh.

SPEAKER_04

We have a winner.

SPEAKER_13

Who would have thought that the 13 seed Toto would take out the likes of Journey and Foreigner and Whitesnake, Queen, Van Halen, uh, Blue Oyster cult.

SPEAKER_11

Uh if they were gonna do it, they had a better chance with this bunch than most other places.

SPEAKER_08

I guess that's true. If we weren't all musicians, Toto wouldn't have gone past, wouldn't have made it to the Final Four.

SPEAKER_13

Possibly not, but with the resurgence of like Africa and Weezer doing their cover of Africa and Africa coming back into the mainframe, they they've still had a fighting chance. I don't know if they would have won it.

SPEAKER_11

I I don't know with most people, and Jamie was pretty uh pretty surprised that they took out Van Halen, let alone sweet Van Halen. I mean, if you look, Toto's closest was quite the three to two, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_13

So yeah, he'll probably be very, very uh surprised by that.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, that's disappointed.

SPEAKER_13

That officially wraps up segment number two because the Arena Rock Challenge was part of segment number two. Uh, we hope you enjoyed that. Now, everyone's favorite portion of the show. Uh we're gonna jump to segment number three, Ren, the games master of the bunch. He's got uh a nice little game uh cooked up for us again, and I think this one's gonna be gonna be really fun.

SPEAKER_04

So and uh I think yeah, I'll tell you what. All right, you want to explain this one to him, Ren? Yeah, we've got a new game here. Careless Whisper.

unknown

Really?

SPEAKER_04

Do you get it? Careless Whisper.

unknown

Yeah, I do.

SPEAKER_04

Great. So we'll go around the room. You take off your headphones, each one of you at one at a time will take off your headphones, and I'll whisper a passphrase, and you gotta guess it. You only get three tries. Yeah, this is where we've got to uh do a close-up.

SPEAKER_11

I'm gonna give you guys a little tip and not not uh keep it to myself. But if you hover over Ren and you see that little square, you can click that when it's your turn and it's gonna make him bigger. Oh his camera is becoming more pixelated by a second. Okay, that's that's almost like his identity is being protected.

SPEAKER_13

That that that does definitely help. Hmm. All right, I gotta fix the channel with a face full of red. Okay, so all right. I just want to let everybody know that when we test these games with one another, and when we tested this game, this was the funniest one that we have come up with. But this version we're gonna have to censor ourselves somewhat.

SPEAKER_11

So, you know, that's well Chris is Chris might just have to work extra hard because sometimes he's keeps it again.

SPEAKER_13

Okay, so I take my headphones off, Ren whispers, and I just try to read his lips.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, and then when he gives me the thumbs up, you've done spent your three chances, Bub.

SPEAKER_13

Okay. All right, here we go.

SPEAKER_05

My dentist plays the drums.

SPEAKER_13

Message my drums. Oh my dentist plays the drums. First word is message, right? Uh is it message? Uh message.

SPEAKER_03

My dentist plays the drums.

SPEAKER_08

Passage to play the drums. The confidence and passage.

SPEAKER_11

He did have a lot of confidence in that. He's like, I finally figured it out.

SPEAKER_04

The passphrase was my dentist plays the drums. My dentist plays the drums. We may not have a winner. We're just gonna do this. Shoot some giggers. Okay, all right. So let's go with Chris. Come on, engineer, take your headphones off. Take a break.

SPEAKER_03

My babysitter joined the band.

SPEAKER_11

Just say what you want to know.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, I really want to know what he thought of that one. Say something.

SPEAKER_10

Do it again. I don't I I I I I couldn't see.

SPEAKER_03

The babysitter joined the band.

SPEAKER_10

The babysitter does the mambo.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, yes, you got it.

SPEAKER_04

One more try. One more try. Okay. The babysitter joined the band.

SPEAKER_10

The babysitter the babysitter joined the band.

SPEAKER_04

Wow. Good job. Chris is gonna win this one. All right, Ryan, you're next.

SPEAKER_11

All right.

SPEAKER_03

Your dog stole my sandwich.

SPEAKER_11

I have no clue what you just said. Joy's Joy's clock baseball.

SPEAKER_07

Almost.

SPEAKER_03

Not really. Your dog stole my sandwich.

SPEAKER_11

Can you go to the kitchen and make me a sandwich?

SPEAKER_03

Your dog stole my sandwich.

SPEAKER_11

Your sock stole my sandwich? Oh.

SPEAKER_13

No, put him back on. Put him back on. It was close. That was really close.

SPEAKER_11

All right, I'm back.

SPEAKER_04

Your dog stole my sandwich.

SPEAKER_11

I thought it was dog, but I was like, he's not gonna say dog. That's too easy. Makes too much sense.

SPEAKER_12

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Hold on, let me enlarge it. Okay. It's a jackal.

SPEAKER_03

I married a magician. He's gonna be a reader. Married a magician.

SPEAKER_08

Hang on, your camera looks like a toaster. I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to crank you down. All right, there we go.

SPEAKER_03

I married a magician.

SPEAKER_08

A battery had peaches.

SPEAKER_04

This will be your second attempt.

SPEAKER_13

Attempt number two.

SPEAKER_01

I married a magician.

SPEAKER_08

A Baptist had bitches.

SPEAKER_03

I married a magician. I married a magician.

SPEAKER_08

From rags to riches.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

I married a magician. I was close. Yeah, you should have.

SPEAKER_11

You should have just said the second one back to him and told him that's what it was to see.

SPEAKER_13

Right. Okay, we're doing three rounds of this.

SPEAKER_04

Round two, here we go. So far, Chris is in the lead and maybe the ultimate winner. Going in the same order.

SPEAKER_08

If he gets the next one, I'll lose it. Winner goes first, right?

SPEAKER_07

Sure. Okay. So it's Chris going first. Hmm.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, here we go.

SPEAKER_10

The mixer is on fire. The pitcher is on fire.

SPEAKER_11

We might have found his special talent.

SPEAKER_03

The mixer is on fire.

SPEAKER_10

Say it one more time.

SPEAKER_04

Last chance.

SPEAKER_05

The mixer is on fire.

SPEAKER_10

The bathroom is on fire.

SPEAKER_04

It's close. Man, it's in your world. Uh the mixer is on fire.

SPEAKER_11

I felt like you should get half a point for getting so close.

SPEAKER_04

Ryan, you're next. I get lost in my notes here.

SPEAKER_05

The giraffe needs glasses.

SPEAKER_13

Just look at how intently Ryan is focused in on it.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, I do it again. I think I I might have picked up a word. The traffic camera likes something.

SPEAKER_03

The giraffe needs glasses.

SPEAKER_11

Man, I have no clue. I'm horrible at this game. Last time, go ahead and do it one more time. The giraffe needs glasses. The giraffe likes sausage.

SPEAKER_03

Is that the second time you said sausage?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I think it's sausage.

SPEAKER_04

Oh man, the giraffe needs glasses.

SPEAKER_11

Needs glasses. Okay. Yeah, he loves sausage. Did you say glasses like that? Probably.

SPEAKER_08

We have to clip the sausage.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

All right, James, go.

SPEAKER_08

A kazoo flew the mailman.

SPEAKER_03

I can't feel my eyebrows.

SPEAKER_08

A Jew ate some pop rocks.

SPEAKER_03

I can't feel my eyebrows.

SPEAKER_08

A kangaroo has eyebrows.

SPEAKER_11

Oh when he comes back, tell me he nailed it.

SPEAKER_13

Almost. Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Come on.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, let him let him let him think he got it right.

SPEAKER_04

I can't feel my eyebrows.

SPEAKER_08

Oh man. I guess it's my turn, right?

SPEAKER_13

Russ.

SPEAKER_03

The drummer missed the beat.

SPEAKER_13

The crow missed his pizza.

SPEAKER_03

The drummer missed the beat.

SPEAKER_13

The criminal mashed the pizza.

SPEAKER_11

I know where that was going. I thought he was gonna get the last word.

SPEAKER_13

The drummer missed the beat. The drummer missed the beat.

SPEAKER_07

Yay!

SPEAKER_04

Wow. Okay. Heating up here.

SPEAKER_11

So we got uh one more zero zero. Can we uh put Russ this last round, right? Yes, Russ and Chris at the end, put a little pressure on them if me or James come through. Okay I like that little twist on it.

SPEAKER_04

Hmm. All right, who's first?

SPEAKER_13

Be uh James or Ryan.

SPEAKER_08

I'll go. We'll get this out of the way. Turn up the reverb. Your mother lives on the farm? Turn up the reverb. Your mother's a vermin. Leave my mother out of this.

SPEAKER_03

Turn up the reverb.

SPEAKER_08

Your brother likes rhubarb.

SPEAKER_07

He's got something with your family, right? Your brother likes rhubarb.

SPEAKER_04

Man, I was just trying to tell you to turn up the reverb. I'm talking about his family like that, and little Randy jumps out.

SPEAKER_03

The guitar is out of tune.

SPEAKER_11

The guitar is out of tune. Oh touchdown, Yankees.

SPEAKER_10

I think he's weird this.

SPEAKER_11

I would just like to say that was really hard not to just follow up with uh with a line from Sling Blade. You know too. He's either said that a lot or it's heard right. I've heard it a lot. People have looked at me a lot.

SPEAKER_13

All right. Uh me or Chris. Chris, you want to go now? I'll go. All right.

SPEAKER_08

Chris, pressure's on.

SPEAKER_03

We forgot the second verse.

SPEAKER_10

We forgot the second verse.

SPEAKER_07

Oh. Oh.

SPEAKER_10

Now the pressure's on. I've heard that one too. Or seen it.

SPEAKER_13

So hold on just a second. Let me make you big.

SPEAKER_11

So it is uh Chris two, Russ one, me one, go for it, James Zero. Well.

SPEAKER_04

It's like a f okay. I'm running out of words here, or phrases.

SPEAKER_13

The bass player is missing. The marshmallow is spicy.

SPEAKER_08

Marshmallows is he's been eating.

SPEAKER_11

I don't know. He's been eating those spicy pickles.

SPEAKER_03

The bass player is missing.

SPEAKER_13

The bass player is spicy.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Yeah, he is.

SPEAKER_03

In his defense, Cody's a bass player. That deserves a bass player is missing. The bass player is missing.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. Which he is a lot of times. Oh automatic half point for spot.

SPEAKER_11

What do we do in uh in? We do just one one more. Do we have a readoff? Like they both take their headphones off, whoever gets it first.

SPEAKER_13

Okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Sure.

SPEAKER_13

All right.

SPEAKER_04

I may have just enough for that.

SPEAKER_13

Okay, here we go.

SPEAKER_11

You just need one more.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_13

Let me make you big again. Hold on.

SPEAKER_08

Now we can talk about those losers together. Ah damn.

SPEAKER_13

Go ahead. Who stole my mic stand? Who stole my mustache?

SPEAKER_08

I can't give any facial expressions.

SPEAKER_03

Who stole my mic stand? Who stole my backpack?

SPEAKER_11

I think you just keep going around until one of them gets it. So close. They're getting close.

SPEAKER_03

Who stole my mic stand? Who stole my backpack? Who stole my mic stand? Who stole my my paycheck?

SPEAKER_13

All right, one last one. I'll hurt someone.

SPEAKER_11

No, no, keep going. Keep going.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, okay, okay. Who stole my mic stand?

SPEAKER_13

Who stole my penis pump?

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

That last word.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, it's the it's the last word.

SPEAKER_02

My mic stand. Who's oh that last part of it? I was supposed to say who stole my milkshake.

SPEAKER_10

What's the last word? What's the last word?

SPEAKER_13

Oh, my mic stand. Who stole my mic stand?

SPEAKER_11

Gotta win it.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. All right. Russ is the grand champion of the inaugural game.

SPEAKER_11
